Biography
Douglas Hines (1923–2006) was an American television editor and production manager. He worked extensively on sitcoms from the 1960s onwards, including long stints on The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970–1977) and later on Cheers (1983–1986).
Hines edited seven episodes of the series Taxi in 1981. He received four Primetime Emmy Awards for his editing work, two for The Mary Tyler Moore Show and two for The Tracey Ullman Show (1988–1989) and an associated special. He was married to Paula Hines and died in Los Angeles.
