Biography
Douglas Rogers is a production designer and art director. He holds a BFA from Baylor University and an MFA in scenic design from the Yale School of Drama. He began his career in graphic design before moving into theatrical and entertainment design.
Rogers served as art director on the DreamWorks Animation film Shrek (2001) and as production designer on Disney Animation’s Tangled (2010). He contributed visual development to The Princess and the Frog (2009) and worked on several other DreamWorks features including Bee Movie (2007). He received an Annie Award nomination for his work on Shrek.
He later joined Walt Disney Imagineering, where he contributed to the design of The Enchanted Storybook Castle at Shanghai Disneyland (opened 2016) and reconceptualisation work for Hong Kong Disneyland. He has also taught entertainment design at the Art Center College of Design.
