Biography

Douglas Silva, also known as DG, is a Brazilian actor and singer. He made his acting debut as the young Dadinho (Li'l Dice) in the 2002 film City of God.

Silva is also known for playing Acerola in the television series City of Men (2002–2005) and its 2007 film adaptation. For the series he became the first Brazilian actor nominated for an International Emmy Award for Best Actor. He won the Best Actor award at the Havana Film Festival for City of God and received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Grande Prêmio do Cinema Brasileiro.
