Biography
Dua Saleh is a Sudanese-American singer, songwriter, poet and actor. They are known for their music releases, including the EPs Nūr (2019) and Rosetta (2020), and for their recurring role as Cal Bowman in the Netflix series Sex Education (2021–2023).
Saleh was born in Kassala, Sudan, and moved to the United States as a child. They graduated from Augsburg University in 2017 with degrees in sociology and gender, women's and sexuality studies. Before their acting debut, Saleh performed in theatre productions in Minneapolis and released music after beginning to experiment with it while at university.
