Biography
Duan Sanderson is an actor and choreographer. Born in Manchester, Jamaica, in 1977, he moved to New York at an early age and grew up in Westchester. He began studying acting at the age of 15 under coach Tina Sattin at the Open Cage Theater and was cast in a pivotal role in the play "20th Century Slave" at 16.
Sanderson has appeared in independent films and Off-Broadway productions, as well as commercials and music videos. He is credited as Azu (as Duan "Sandy" Sanderson) in the opening scene of Moonlight (2016). Other film roles include Alex in Acid Rain (1998) and Lexington in the short Ctrl C (2016), in which he also provided choreography.
