Biography
Durinda Wood, also credited as Durinda Rice Wood, is an American costume designer. She graduated from Dana Hall School in 1970 and studied at Bard College, the Yale School of Drama (receiving a Master's degree in Theater & Film Design in 1985) and the California Institute of the Arts.
Her film credits include costume design on Battle Beyond the Stars (1980), The Sure Thing (1985), Back to School (1986), The Seventh Sign (1988), A Mighty Wind (2003) and Brothers (2009). She served as costume supervisor on Best in Show (2000) and additional costume designer on Mulholland Drive (2001). On television she worked as costume designer on the second season of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1988).
Wood received a Saturn Award nomination for Battle Beyond the Stars, a shared Emmy Award nomination for Star Trek: The Next Generation, and a Costume Designers Guild Award for A Mighty Wind.
