Biography
D'Urville Martin (1939–1984) was an American actor and director who worked in film and television. Born in New York City, he began his career in the mid-1960s with small roles in Black Like Me (1964) and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967), in which he played Frankie.
Martin appeared regularly in 1970s blaxploitation films, including Rosemary's Baby (1968) as Diego, Black Caesar (1973) as Reverend Rufus, Hell Up in Harlem (1973), Boss Nigger (1975) and Sheba, Baby (1975). He also directed Dolemite (1975), in which he played Willie Green, and Disco 9000 (1977). His television credits include guest roles in series such as The Monkees and The Invaders.
