Biography
Earl A. Hibbert is a visual effects artist, previsualisation supervisor and director. Born in London, he began working in animation in the early 1990s as an assistant animator on series and features including We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story (1993) and The Pebble and the Penguin (1995). After moving to Los Angeles he worked as an animator for Warner Bros. Animation on films such as Space Jam (1996), Quest for Camelot (1998) and The Iron Giant (1999).
Hibbert later specialised in previsualisation, serving as supervisor or lead artist on numerous features including Spider-Man 3 (2007), Battleship (2012), Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021). He directed two episodes of the animated series Blue Eye Samurai (2023) and also worked as previz supervisor on the production.
