Biography
Edward Decter is an American screenwriter, film director and producer. Born in West Orange, New Jersey, he graduated from Wesleyan University in 1979. He frequently collaborates with writer and producer John J. Strauss.
Decter is known for his work on the films There's Something About Mary (1998), for which he wrote the story and co-wrote the screenplay, The Santa Clause 2 (2002), The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003) and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006). He directed The New Guy (2002) and has written for television series including Boy Meets World.
