Biography
Ed Grennan (1922–2000) was an American actor and broadcaster. He appeared as Pete in David Lynch’s The Straight Story (1999) and as Mayor Daley in the television film A Mother’s Courage: The Mary Thomas Story (1989).
Grennan had a long career in Chicago radio and television. He hosted shows including the Emmy-winning It’s Academic, the call-in programme Problems and Solutions, and Everything’s Relative. He worked at stations such as WLS, WGN and WMAQ before retiring in 1991. He began acting more regularly after retirement.
