Biography
Eddie Vedder is an American musician, composer and actor. Born Edward Louis Severson III, he is best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Pearl Jam, which he joined in 1990 after performing with Bad Radio in San Diego.
His film work includes composing the soundtrack for Into the Wild (2007), for which he won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. He has appeared in acting roles including Edward Louis Severson III in the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks, himself in Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story (2007) and an uncredited role as a member of Citizen Dick in Singles (1992). He has also featured as himself in documentaries such as Pearl Jam Twenty (2011) and West of Memphis (2012).
