Biography
Edmund Joseph (1897–1957) was an American screenwriter and director. Born in Houston, Texas, he began his career directing short films in the late 1920s before moving into screenwriting.
His credits as writer include the screenplay for Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942), co-written with Robert Buckner, and Who Done It? (1942). Other screenwriting work encompasses Women Must Dress (1935), Everybody's Doing It (1938), Bowery to Broadway (1944) and The Naughty Nineties (1945).
