Biography
Edson Oliveira is a Brazilian actor. He is a veteran member of the Grupo de Teatro Nós do Morro, based in Morro do Vidigal, Rio de Janeiro.
Oliveira is known for his role as Barbantinho Adulto in the film City of God (2002). He reprised the character as Barbantinho in the television series City of God: The Fight Rages On (2024). His other credits include Bandeira de Retalhos (2018) as Armando and A Menina da Flor (2011) as Fabiano. Participation in City of God changed his life, and he has spoken of hoping the series role will bring further visibility to his work.
