Biography
Edward Corbett was an American actor born on 20 March 1932 in Petrolia, Pennsylvania. He served as a hospital corpsman in the United States Navy during the Korean War. In 1960 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bacteriology. He worked in medical sales for most of his life, but an interest in acting led him to community theatre and later to roles in commercials, films and television as a member of the Screen Actors Guild. He died on 13 April 2006 in Stockton, California.
Corbett appeared in numerous films, often in small or uncredited parts. Among his credits are a Texan in The Right Stuff (1983), the ticket seller in Near Dark (1987), an older deputy in Village of the Damned (1995), a stagehand in Fright Night Part 2 (1988), Santa Claus in 976-EVIL (1988) and roles in Ebola Syndrome (1996) and Supercop 2 (1993).
