Biography
Edward P. Lambert was an American costume designer and wardrobe supervisor who worked in Hollywood from the 1920s to the 1950s. He is credited with wardrobe on Our Town (1940) and supplied costumes or served in related roles on films including Gone with the Wind (1939), South of Pago Pago (1940), Kit Carson (1940), The Son of Monte Cristo (1940) and Davy Crockett, Indian Scout (1950).
Lambert founded Associated Costume in Hollywood; the firm later merged with Western Costume Company, where he became an executive. He supplied wardrobe for many productions, often without on-screen credit. Earlier in his career he worked as a research director and technical director on several films.
