Biography
Edwina Booth (born Josephine Constance Woodruff) was an American actress. She is best known for her role as Nina Trent, the White Goddess, in the 1931 film Trader Horn.
Booth began her career with small film roles, including in Manhattan Cocktail (1928) and Our Modern Maidens (1929), after some stage experience. She appeared in serials such as The Vanishing Legion (1931) and The Last of the Mohicans (1932).
During filming of Trader Horn on location in Africa, Booth contracted a serious illness that left her bedridden for several years and ended her acting career. She sued MGM and settled out of court. In later years she worked at the Los Angeles Mormon Temple. She died in 1991.
