Biography
Egon Brandstetter is an Austrian-born bespoke tailor and actor based in Berlin. He trained in tailoring in Austria and worked in costume workshops for opera companies including the English National Opera and Vienna State Opera, as well as on film productions, before opening his own atelier in Berlin in 2008.
He appeared as Tailor #2 in Todd Field’s TÁR (2022), playing a version of himself fitting Cate Blanchett’s character Lydia Tár for a bespoke suit and shirt at his atelier.
