Biography
Eijirō Hisaita (1898–1976) was a Japanese screenwriter. He co-wrote the screenplay for High and Low (1963), directed by Akira Kurosawa, with Hideo Oguni, Ryūzō Kikushima and Kurosawa.
Hisaita collaborated with Kurosawa on several postwar films, including No Regrets for Our Youth (1946), The Idiot (1951) and The Bad Sleep Well (1960). He also wrote screenplays for other directors, such as Morning for the Osone Family (1946).
