Biography

Eijiro Ozaki (尾崎英二郎) is a Japanese actor. Born on 31 March 1969, he is known to English-speaking audiences for his role as Lieutenant Okubo in Clint Eastwood's Letters from Iwo Jima (2006).

Ozaki made his professional stage debut in 1994 as Jim Stark in a production of Rebel Without a Cause performed in English. He trained under Yoko Narahashi at the United Performers' Studio in Tokyo and was coached by Frank Corsaro. He performed sword stunts in The Last Samurai (2003) before securing his first major screen role in Letters from Iwo Jima.

His other credits include guest appearances in Heroes (2007) as young Kaito Nakamura, The Man in the High Castle (2018–2019) as Admiral Inokuchi, DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2018) as Ishiro Honda, and Shōgun (2024) as Kuroda Nobuhisa. He moved to the United States in 2007.
