Biography
Eiko Masuyama (増山江威子, also credited as Masuyama Eiko) was a Japanese actress and voice actress. Born Tomoko Masada in Tokyo on 22 April 1936, she began her career in theatre after studying under Miyoko Asō at the Children's Theater Company. She later joined Aoni Production and focused on voice work.
She is best known for voicing Fujiko Mine in the Lupin the Third franchise from the 1977 television series onwards, including the 1979 film The Castle of Cagliostro. Other notable roles include Honey Kisaragi in Cutie Honey and Bakabon's mother in Tensai Bakabon. Masuyama received the Tokyo Anime Award for merit in 2017 and a Seiyū Award merit prize in 2021. She died on 20 May 2024.
