Biography
Elaine Montalvo is a costume designer working in film and television. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Television Academy, and the Costume Designers Guild. Originally from Central California and based in Los Angeles, she trained at the University of California, Berkeley, where she double-majored in film studies and psychology, and earned an MFA in costume design and creative writing from the California Institute of the Arts.
Her credits include the films Real Women Have Curves (2002), Chuck & Buck (2000), Boogeyman 2 (2007), Supercross (2005), A Better Life (2011), Flamin' Hot (2023) and One True Loves (2023). On television she has designed for The Walking Dead (2016–2020), Big Time Rush (2009–2013), 100 Things to Do Before High School (2015–2016), Gentefied (2021) and Blindspotting (2023). She has received six award nominations.
