Biography
Elda Ferri is an Italian film producer born on 12 November 1937 in Bologna. She is the administrator of the production company Jean Vigo Italia S.r.l. and has been active since 1977.
She has produced numerous films directed by Roberto Benigni and Roberto Faenza. Ferri co-produced Life Is Beautiful (1997) with Gianluigi Braschi; the pair won the David di Donatello for Best Producer and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. Other credits include Pinocchio (2002) and The Monster (1994, executive producer). She received the European Producer of the Year Award in 2005 and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
