Biography
Elena Anaya is a Spanish actress. Born on 17 July 1975 in Palencia, she began her film career in the mid-1990s after training as an actress in Cádiz and at the Juan Carlos Corazza school in Madrid.
She gained recognition in Spain for her role in Sex and Lucía (2001), which earned a Goya Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She appeared as Ángela in Pedro Almodóvar's Talk to Her (2002) and played Aleera in the Hollywood film Van Helsing (2004). In 2011 she won the Goya Award for Best Actress for her leading role in Almodóvar's The Skin I Live In.
Anaya has also appeared in Room in Rome (2010), Mesrine: Killer Instinct (2008), The Infiltrator (2016) and Wonder Woman (2017) as Dr Maru.
