Biography
Elena Maganini is an American film editor. She began her career working on commercials in Chicago before editing her first feature, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986), on which she also worked as sound editor. She collaborated with director John McNaughton on several subsequent projects, including Mad Dog and Glory (1993) and Wild Things (1998).
Maganini edited six episodes of the first season of the series Dexter (2006), including the pilot, for which she won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2007 for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series. Her other television credits include episodes of The Dead Zone (2002), Madam Secretary (2014) and Good Behavior (2016). She received an Emmy nomination for the HBO miniseries If These Walls Could Talk (1996).
