Biography
Elijah Eugene Cummings (18 January 1951 – 17 October 2019) was an American politician and member of the Democratic Party. He represented Maryland's 7th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1996 until his death and previously served in the Maryland House of Delegates. He later chaired the House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
Cummings appeared as himself in the 2009 documentary film Capitalism: A Love Story.
