Biography
Elizabeth Hill (1901–1978) was an American screenwriter. She began her career in Hollywood as a studio stenographer before working as a script girl.
Hill collaborated frequently with director King Vidor, whom she married in 1932. Her credits include the scenario for Our Daily Bread (1934), the original story for The Texas Rangers (1936), and the screenplay (with Ian Dalrymple and Frank Wead) for The Citadel (1938). She received further credits on Northwest Passage (1940, uncredited contribution), H. M. Pulham, Esq. (1941) and the story for Streets of Laredo (1949). She was nominated for an Academy Award for the screenplay of The Citadel.
