Biography
Elisabeth Kiernan Averick is an American writer and producer. She began her career in production roles on projects including the film Selma (2014) and television series such as Human Target and Zero Hour. She served as a writers' assistant on the musical comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015) before advancing to writer, story editor and co-producer positions on the show.
Averick later joined the writing and producing staff of The Simpsons, contributing as a writer and in producer roles including supervising producer and co-executive producer between 2019 and 2023. She has also written for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (2019). She has received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
She is married to film producer Spencer Averick and attended Boston University.
