Biography

Elizabeth Mitchell (born Elizabeth Joanna Robertson) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Dr Juliet Burke on the ABC series Lost (2006–2010), for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination and a Saturn Award.

Mitchell was born on 27 March 1970 in Los Angeles and raised in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, earned a BFA in acting from Stephens College in 1991, and studied at the British American Drama Academy. She performed for several years with the Dallas Theater Center before moving into screen roles.

Her other notable credits include the films Gia (1998), Frequency (2000) and The Santa Clause 2 (2002), and television series such as V (2009–2011), Revolution (2012–2014), Once Upon a Time (2014) and The Expanse (2018, 2021). She has also appeared in The Purge: Election Year (2016).
