Biography
Elizabeth Young was an American actress. Born in New York City on 3 September 1913, she was educated at the Spence School and began her career on the stage before moving to Hollywood.
She appeared in four films during the mid-1930s: Big Executive (1933), Queen Christina (1933) as Ebba, There's Always Tomorrow (1934) and East of Java (1935). She was active in the American Red Cross during the Second World War.
Young was married to film director and screenwriter Joseph L. Mankiewicz from 1934 to 1937; they had a son, Eric. She later married publisher Eugene Reynal, furniture manufacturer Hugh Walker and architect Henry Darbee.
