Biography
Ellen Hillingsø is a Danish actress. Born in Copenhagen on 9 March 1967, she trained at the Aarhus Theatre Academy, graduating in 1994 after earlier work as a television host.
She began her career on stage at Aarhus Theatre and has appeared in Danish films including Mifune (1999) and Shake It All About (2001). On television she has played Charlotte Söringer in The Bridge (2011) and Helle Uggerby in Rita (2012). She also works as a voice actress and audiobook narrator.
Hillingsø received the Robert Award for best supporting actress for her role in Sekten (1997). She is married to Christoffer Castenskiold.
