Biography
Ellen Tam was an editor and assistant editor. She worked extensively as an assistant editor on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015–2017) and edited one episode of the series. On Succession (2018–2023), she served as assistant editor on the first two seasons and as editor on episodes from seasons one, two and four.
Tam had a long collaboration with editor Ken Eluto, beginning with 30 Rock (2006–2013), where she worked as an assistant editor on over 130 episodes. She received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series for her work on Succession.
Tam died on 15 April 2023. The finale of Succession included a dedication to her.
