Biography
Ellie Heydon is a British director and former actress. She began her career in theatre and dramaturgy before moving into television, with a focus on comedy and female-led stories.
Her television directing credits include all eight episodes of the fourth series of Trying (2024) for Apple TV+, six episodes of Dreamland (2023) for Sky, and two episodes of the fourth series of Ted Lasso (2026) for Apple TV+. She has also directed episodes of Outrageous (2025) and Tommy & Tuppence (2025).
Heydon directed and produced several award-winning short films, including Pelicans (2020) and Fred Forever (2020), which screened at festivals such as Tribeca and the BFI. As an actress, she appeared as Anne Pettifer in the series Harlots (2017–2019).
