Biography
Ellie Wood is a British film and television producer. She began her career as a script editor at the BBC, working on adaptations including Bleak House (2005), The Line of Beauty (2006) and He Knew He Was Right (2004). She later held development and executive producer roles at Clerkenwell Films and Tiger Aspect Productions, and worked as a consultant for Miramax, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Catalyst Global Media.
Wood founded Clearwood Films and produced the Netflix feature The Dig (2021), an adaptation of John Preston’s novel starring Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes. The film received five BAFTA nominations, including for Outstanding British Film. She also produced the ITV/BritBox series Stonehouse (2023) and served as executive producer on the feature Hot Milk (2025). In 2025 she signed a development deal with Banijay UK through Clearwood Films.
