Biography

Elliot Shoenman is an American television writer and producer. He began his career writing for the sitcom Maude in the 1970s and later contributed episodes to Cheers (1985).

He wrote for The Cosby Show (1984–1986) and served as a producer on the series, winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1985. Shoenman was executive producer and a writer on Home Improvement (1993–1999). He created the series Amanda's (1983) and Annie McGuire (1988–1989).

In later years he has written several plays, including AfterMath, which received an Ovation Award nomination for playwriting.
