Biography
Élodie Yung is a French actress. She was born in Paris on 22 February 1981 to a Cambodian father and a French mother, and grew up in Seine-Saint-Denis. She trained in karate from the age of nine and became a black belt, and holds a law degree from the University of Paris. She later studied acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Yung began her career in French television in 2002 with the series La vie devant nous. Her early film roles include the lead in Les fils du vent (2004) and Tao in District 13: Ultimatum (2009). She appeared as Miriam Wu in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and as Kim Arashikage / Jinx in G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013).
She is known for playing Hathor in Gods of Egypt (2016), Elektra Natchios in the Netflix series Daredevil (2016) and The Defenders (2017), and Amelia Roussel in The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017). Later credits include voice work in Love, Death & Robots (2019) and the series The Cleaning Lady (2022–2025).
