Biography
Émilie Dequenne was a Belgian actress. She made her screen debut in the Dardenne brothers' Rosetta (1999), winning the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for the role.
She appeared in films including Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001), Our Children (2012), for which she received a further Cannes award in the Un Certain Regard section, Love Affair(s) (2020), for which she won a César Award for Best Supporting Actress, and Close (2022) as Sophie. Dequenne trained at the Académie de Musique et des Arts de la Parole in Saint-Ghislain from the age of twelve. She was married to actor Michel Ferracci from 2014.
