Biography
Emily Deschanel is an American actress, director and producer. She is best known for playing Dr. Temperance Brennan in the Fox series Bones (2005–2017), where she also worked as a producer from the third season and directed the season twelve premiere episode.
Born on 11 October 1976 in Los Angeles, California, she is the daughter of cinematographer Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel, and the sister of actress Zooey Deschanel. She graduated from Boston University's Professional Actors Training Program with a BFA in Theatre.
Deschanel has appeared in films including Cold Mountain (2003) and Spider-Man 2 (2004), and has provided voice work for series such as The Simpsons and BoJack Horseman.
