Biography
Emily Kaczmarek is a writer for television, theatre and film. She wrote episodes of the series The Staircase (2022), Monsterland (2020) and American Gigolo (2022), and also served as a producer on The Staircase and American Gigolo.
Her plays and musicals have been developed and produced at theatres including the 5th Avenue Theatre, Second Stage Theater, American Conservatory Theater and WP Theater. She has held artist residencies at New York Stage and Film, SPACE on Ryder Farm and the Hermitage Artist Retreat. Kaczmarek received the 2018 Jonathan Larson Grant and a 2023 Writers Guild of America nomination for The Staircase.
