Biography
Emily Kuroda is an American actress. Born Emily Keiko Kuroda on 30 October 1952 in Fresno, California, she majored in drama at California State University, Fresno and began her career on stage and screen.
She is a veteran of East West Players, Los Angeles's premier Asian American theatre company, and has appeared in numerous plays including works by Chay Yew and Luis Alfaro. She has received five Drama-Logue Awards, a Garland Award and an East West Players Rae Creevey Award.
Kuroda is best known for playing Mrs. Kim in the television series Gilmore Girls (2000–2007). Her film and television credits include RED (2010), Kimi (2022), Strange World (2022) and The End of Oak Street (2026) as Mrs. Valcourt. She is married to actor and director Alberto Isaac.
