Biography
Emily Mendez is a film and television editor. She graduated from Texas Christian University in 2013 with a degree in film, television and digital media, and from the American Film Institute Conservatory in 2015.
She is known for her editing work on the HBO series The Last of Us (2023), for which she shared a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Drama Series with Timothy Good. She had previously worked as assistant editor on series including The Resident (2018–2021) and The Umbrella Academy (2022), and as editor on episodes of The Resident (2019–2020) and Light as a Feather (2018). She began her collaboration with Good as his assistant on The Resident before co-editing on The Last of Us.
