Biography
Emma Frost is a British screenwriter, playwright and showrunner. She trained as a fine artist and began her career in theatre before moving into television, writing for series including The Queen's Nose, Doctors and Casualty.
She wrote and served as storyline consultant on multiple episodes of the Channel 4 series Shameless (2004), acting as lead writer on seasons three to five. Her later credits include writing for The White Queen (2013), The Man in the High Castle (2015), The White Princess (2017) and co-showrunning The Spanish Princess (2019) with Matthew Graham. She is the sole writer and showrunner of the Netflix adaptation The Age of Innocence, which began filming in 2025.
Her debut play Airsick premiered at the Bush Theatre in 2003. Frost is married to writer and showrunner Matthew Graham.
