Biography

Emma Fryer is a British actress, stand-up comedian and writer from Coventry. She began performing stand-up in 2005 and was a finalist in the So You Think You're Funny?, Funny Women and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year competitions.

She is known for playing Tania in the BBC Three series Ideal (2007–2011), Janine in the E4 series PhoneShop (2010–2013) and Gaynor Jacks in the BBC Two series Home Time (2009), which she co-wrote with Neil Edmond. Her film credits include Fiona in Kill List (2011). Other television roles include appearances in In the Dark (2017), Critical (2015) and Red Rose (2022).

Home Time was nominated for Best Sitcom at the South Bank Show Awards and the Rose d'Or.
