Biography
Emmanuel Salinger is a French actor, screenwriter and director. He was born on 6 May 1964 in Blois, Loir-et-Cher. He trained at the IDHEC and began his career in films by Arnaud Desplechin, including La Vie des morts (1991) and La Sentinelle (1992), for which he received the César Award for Most Promising Actor in 1993.
Salinger has appeared in films such as Queen Margot (1994) as Du Bartas, One Hundred and One Nights (1995), My Sex Life... or How I Got Into an Argument (1996), Planetarium (2016) and The Taste of Things (2023) as Rabaz. He has also written for television series and teaches at La Fémis. He is the brother of actor Joachim Salinger.
