Biography

Enrico Casarosa is an Italian director, screenwriter and storyboard artist. Born on 20 November 1971 in Genoa, Italy, he moved to New York in his twenties and studied animation at the School of Visual Arts and the Fashion Institute of Technology. He began his career as a storyboard artist on television series including 101 Dalmatians: The Series and PB&J Otter, and worked at Blue Sky Studios on Ice Age (2002) and Robots (2005).

Casarosa joined Pixar Animation Studios in 2002 as a story artist on Cars (2006), Ratatouille (2007) and Up (2009). He directed the short film La luna (2012), which received an Academy Award nomination, and made his feature directorial debut with Luca (2021), also nominated for an Academy Award. He has contributed to numerous other Pixar productions as a story artist and member of the senior creative team.
