Biography
Eolo Capritti (2 November 1918 – 15 September 2007) was an Italian actor and production manager. He made his screen debut in 1948 as an uncredited Carabiniere in Vittorio De Sica’s Bicycle Thieves. He subsequently worked in film production as a secretary, inspector and production manager.
Capritti appeared in numerous films, often in small character roles as a tough or authoritative figure, frequently using the pseudonym Al Capri. Notable credits include a fascist official in Tinto Brass’s The Key (1983), a part in Federico Fellini’s Ginger and Fred (1986) and supporting roles in films by Carlo Verdone such as Fun Is Beautiful (1980), Bianco, rosso e Verdone (1981) and Troppo forte (1986). He also worked in television.
