Biography

Eri Fukatsu (深津 絵里) is a Japanese actress. She was born on 11 January 1973 in Ōita City, Ōita Prefecture. She began her career in 1988 after winning the Miss Harajuku Grand Prix, appearing in commercials for Central Japan Railway Company and making her screen debut in Summer Vacation 1999.

Fukatsu gained recognition for her role as Sumire Onda in the television series Bayside Shakedown and its spin-off films. She received the best actress award at the 18th Yokohama Film Festival for Haru (1996) and the best actress award at the 2010 Montreal World Film Festival for Villain. Other notable film roles include those in The Magic Hour (2008), A Ghost of a Chance (2011), the Parasyte films (2014–2015), Journey to the Shore (2015) and Survival Family (2017). She provided the voice of Tamaki Iwato in the animated film Suzume (2022).
