Biography
Eric Blakeney is an American screenwriter, producer and director. He was born on 14 September 1959 in The Bronx, New York.
Blakeney began his television career writing for series including Crime Story and Moonlighting (1985). He served as a story editor and writer on Wiseguy (1987–1988), receiving an Edgar Award nomination for the episode "The Marriage of Heaven and Hell". He later became showrunner on 21 Jump Street (1987) and co-created its spin-off Booker (1989).
His feature film work includes writing and directing Gun Shy (2000). He also wrote the television film Generation X (1996).
