Biography

Eric Estrin is a television writer and producer. He began his career in journalism, working as an editor at magazines including New Look and Miami, and as a television critic and contributing editor for Los Angeles magazine, before moving into screenwriting in the mid-1980s.

Estrin received his first writing credit on the Miami Vice episode 'Cuba Libre' (1987). He went on to write episodes for series including Cagney & Lacey (1987), Beauty and the Beast (1989), Jake and the Fatman (1987), Silk Stalkings (1991), Diagnosis: Murder (1993), Earth 2 (1994), The Outer Limits (1995) and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995). He also served as a producer or co-producer on shows such as The Exile (1991), Missing Persons (1993–94) and V.I.P. (1998–2000), where he wrote and produced multiple episodes.
