Biography

Eric Kwong Chi-Leung, also credited as Chi-Leung Kwong, Kong Chi-Leung and Gwong Chi-Leung, is a Hong Kong film editor. He began working in the industry in the mid-1980s as an assistant editor before taking on lead editing roles.

He edited Chungking Express (1994) and numerous other films including Ashes of Time (1994), Comrades, Almost a Love Story (1996), The Accidental Spy (2001), A Simple Life (2011), Kung Fu Yoga (2017), Master Z: Ip Man Legacy (2018) and Fukushima 50 (2020). He has received multiple Hong Kong Film Awards for editing, including for Chungking Express and Our Time Will Come (2017), and one Golden Horse Award for best film editing.
