Biography
Eric Saward is a British writer and script editor. He began his career writing drama for BBC Radio while working as a teacher, later becoming a full-time writer.
Saward wrote for and served as script editor on the BBC television series Doctor Who from 1982 to 1986. His writing credits on the series include The Visitation (1982), Earthshock (1982), Resurrection of the Daleks (1984) and Revelation of the Daleks (1985). He resigned as script editor after disagreements with producer John Nathan-Turner during production of The Trial of a Time Lord.
He has written novelisations of several Doctor Who stories for Target Books and BBC Books, as well as the radio serial Slipback (1985).
